Annual Sports Meet Feb ‘09:

We all know that health is wealth and only a healthy body can produce a healthy mind. Sports keep the children energetic and enthusiastic apart from making them physically and mentally sound. Here at VVS, we identify, encourage, train and nurture budding sportspersons to excel in the field of sports. Various track and groups sports competitions/events (house-wise) were held at VVS, Varthur on 21st February 2009. Students took part with true sportsman spirit and won several medals. Our honourable chief guest Sri Satyanarayana (retired head master of various reputed schools) obliged to patiently give away the prizes to the winners and bless them. He also made an insipiring speech highlighting the importance of education and self-discipline.
As we all know that victory and defeat are the two sides of the same coin, our students who could not make it to the top, accepted their defeat gracefully and considered it as a stepping stone to success for them to excel and achieve in the years to come. Rolling trophy for best over all performance went to “Shanthi” house students. Best player trophy was awarded to some students for their outstanding performance to encourage them to pursue in the field and to get name and fame for self, school and the country.
