Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli brimmed with excitement and festive cheer as the school
hosted its Annual Food Fest ‘Rasanamrutham’ with enthusiastic participation from
students and staff. The event began on a devotional note with the school choir chanting the
‘Annapurne Sada Purne’ prayer, seeking blessings for prosperity, abundance and gratitude
for food. This soulful invocation set a serene and auspicious tone for the celebration that
followed.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, accompanied
by a vibrant school band procession. The Food Fest was then formally inaugurated by the
Head of institution, Principal Smt. Padma Sagar Ma’am along with Director of R&D Smt.
Sindhu Ma’am and Deputy Director Govindan Sir, marking the opening of the culinary
fiesta. Students from grades IX to XII displayed an impressive array of traditional as well as
contemporary food stalls, each creatively designed and managed with enthusiasm.

The campus was adorned with unique banners, colourful décor and attractively
designed menu cards. Students dressed in traditional regional attire added charm and cultural
vibrance to the atmosphere. The stalls showcased a perfect blend of flavours—ranging from
age-old recipes to modern favourites. Popular food items like spicy starters, dosa,
puliyogare, rolls, paneer tikka, pani puri, pav bhaji, jaljeera, gulab jamun, cakes and many
more delicacies captured everyone’s attention.

Adding to the charm of the fest, Tattoo Art and Mehendi Art stalls managed by students
received overwhelming appreciation. They showcased creativity, precision and artistic skill,
providing visitors with beautifully designed tattoos and mehendi patterns as a memory to
take home.

Active participation was encouraged across all the grades enabling them to relish a
variety of dishes of their choice. The fest witnessed cheerful crowds, flavourful aromas and
delighted smiles throughout the day.

Overall, the Food Fest was a memorable celebration of taste, teamwork, culture and
creativity—beautifully reflecting the culinary talent and collaborative spirit of our students.
