Independance Day Celebrations 2025

The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great patriotism and
enthusiasm at Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli, on 15th August 2025.The entire school
campus was beautifully decorated with tricolour flags and flowers, creating a vibrant and
festive atmosphere.

The celebration commenced with the receiving of the Chief Guest, Smt. Poorna G,
Academic Advisor – Vagdevi Vilas Institutions, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. As
the Tricolour unfurled proudly, the gathering sang the National Anthem with great reverence.
The programme began with an Invocation Song invoking divine blessings. This was
followed by the Welcome Address by the school pupil leader, extending warm greetings to
the Chief Guest, dignitaries, staff, and students.

Principal, Smt. Padma Sagar, during her inaugural address conveyed heartfelt wishes
on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day and highlighted the vision of Atma Nirbhar
Bharat, encouraging students to nurture creativity, innovation, and self-reliance in every field
of life. Their education must empower them to contribute meaningfully to society and shape
India’s journey towards becoming a global leader.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Poorna G, in her inspiring address, reminded the gathering
that true independence lies not only in freedom but also in responsibility, discipline, and a
commitment to contribute to the progress of the nation. She emphasized that each child must
imbibe discipline, compassion, and integrity to achieve the national dream of Viksit Bharat,
and to build a nation that is strong, inclusive, and prosperous.

The students showcased their creativity through a Fancy Dress presentation, dressing
up as national leaders and freedom fighters. Subsequently, a series of inspiring speeches
were delivered in English, Kannada, and Hindi, reflecting the importance of patriotism. The
audience was enthralled by a series of group dances performed by the students, each
performance portraying unity, cultural diversity, and love for the nation, culminating artistic
expressions of the day.

An impactful dance drama, portrayed the saga of India’s freedom movement—its pain,
its sacrifice, and its ultimate triumph. Patriotic Song sung in unison further heightened the
spirit of the day.

The programme concluded with the melodious rendition of the National Song, after
which the air resounded with the spirited chorus of “Jai Hind!” echoing through the school
ground.

This Independence Day celebration was not merely an event but a heartfelt tribute to
our great nation—rekindling in every student, teacher, and guest the timeless flame of
patriotism, unity, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
