REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (2025–26)
The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride, discipline, and patriotic fervour at     Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli. The programme commenced with the   ceremonial  receiving of the Chief Guest, Shri K. Harish, Chairman VVI Group of Institutions, followed
by the unfurling of the National Flag with the National Salute, filling the atmosphere with a
deep sense of respect and national pride. 

A spectacular march past by the students showcased unity, discipline, and teamwork. The
celebration proceeded with a melodious invocation song presented by the students, invoking  divine blessings for the nation.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished Chief Guest, Sri K. Harish, Chairman
of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions, Smt. Y. Padma Sagar, Principal of VVS Marathahalli, Sri
Govindan, Deputy R&D Director.

Principal, Smt. Y. Padma Sagar, through her inaugural address conveyed her greetings to the
august gathering. This was followed by the inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Shri K.  Harish, Chairman – VVI, who highlighted the importance of constitutional values, discipline,  and responsible citizenship among students. He emphasized the significance of the Indian    Constitution in shaping a sovereign, democratic nation and urged students to uphold ideals  such as justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Students were motivated to work towards  building Aatmanirbhar Bharath and Viksit Bharath and contribute to the progress of the nation   through innovation and development of indigenous products,

The audience was then enthralled by a vibrant band display, adding colour and rhythm to the
celebration. The cultural segment began with delightful group dances by the students across
levels winning loud applause.

Thought provoking speeches in English, Hindi and Kananda by the students reflected the spirit
of Republic Day highlighting national unity through linguistic diversity.

The cultural events continued with a graceful and impressive yoga performance by the students
showcasing balance, discipline, and harmony. The karate display by the students demonstrated
confidence, self-defence skills, and physical strength.

The thrilling Adventure Sports performance by the students highlighted courage, teamwork,
and resilience.

The celebration came to a dignified close with the National Song, leaving everyone with a
renewed sense of patriotism and pride in being Indian.
