Maa Durga – The Maha Shakti | Where Talent, Tradition and Creativity Came Alive!

The recently held Vagdevi Kala Utsav 2026 was a magnificent celebration of art, literature, culture and creativity, inspired by the powerful theme “Maa Durga – The Maha Shakti.” The festival provided a vibrant platform for our students to express their talent, imagination and reverence for the timeless spirit of Shakti.

The stage came alive with graceful dances, powerful performances and inspiring presentations, beautifully portraying the many dimensions of Maa Durga—the embodiment of strength, courage, wisdom and compassion. Every performance reflected our students’ dedication, creativity and deep connection with our rich cultural heritage.

The celebrations were made even more memorable by the remarkable achievements of our students across various competitions. In the Literary events, our young wordsmiths won accolades in English and Kannada Essay Writing and Poetry Writing, creatively exploring the theme of Maa Durga and the many facets of Maha Shakti.

Our budding artists also excelled in the Art and Creative categories, winning prizes in Drawing and Colouring, Mukut Decoration and Leaf Painting. Their imagination and innovation shone brightly in 3D Model Making, where ideas inspired by Shakti were transformed into creative and captivating forms.

A moment of immense pride for the VVSSM family was securing the 🥇 First Prize in the AI Film Making Competition. Through technology, storytelling and creativity, our students brought the powerful message of Maa Durga – The Maha Shakti to life, showcasing their ability to blend tradition with innovation.

Vagdevi Kala Utsav was more than a celebration or a competition—it was an opportunity for our students to discover their inner strength, celebrate our heritage and express themselves fearlessly. Through every performance, poem, painting, model and film, our young Vagdevians brought the spirit of Maa Durga to life.
